Saturday, April 19th, 2008Well I said I would post some pictures of the thunderstorms, but there was only 1 clap of thunder and no real storms to take pictures of sorry all I tried. Visit www.severestudios.com for some great video feeds of storm chasing.
100% Chance of Thunderstorms Friday 4-18-08
Thursday, April 17th, 2008Well looks like we might get some daytime thunderstorms here in NE Arkansas if that is the case I will be posting any pictures I take sometime tomorrow afternoon. Have a great night everyone.
Strong Winds this Morning.
Thursday, April 10th, 2008Woke up to 40+mph winds and temperatures that are 10 degrees warmer now than when I went to bed last night. The winds have been at 35+ for over an hour now, what is strange is they are from the SSE, we haven’t had winds that strong from the SSE for a long time and last time we did we had severe weather that same day. They are predicting severe weather today and looking at the radar back off to the West it looks like we might get some. Remember to watch your local TV Station, Listen to NOAA Weather Radio or your local Radio Stations for the latest on severe weather. Here is a link to our Local TV Station they have always done an awesome job when it comes to keeping you informed about weather events. www.kait8.com
More rain but nothing really severe in College City.
Friday, April 4th, 2008We received another 1.71″ of rain last night but were spared from any real severe weather here in College City, there were reports of some trees down near Powhatan and other reports of pea sized hail and winds elsewhere in NE Arkansas. Once again the guys and gals at KAIT8 did an awesome job keeping us informed about what and where any bad weather was. I have included a radar image from the Tornado that struck SW of Little Rock Arkansas.
In this image you can see a pronounced Hook Echo, from what I heard there was some damage in the town of Benton.
Looks like we dodged the bullet for severe weather tonight.
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008Looks like we were able to dodge the bullet as far as severe weather tonight, I know we received some heavy rains to our North and we will have to wait and see what roll that will play with the current river stages. I’m just glad we didn’t have a bunch of tornado warnings and most importantly no major damage that I have heard of. Once again Thanks KAIT8 for being there for the residents of Region 8.
